Summer Fun

We've had a fun summer and I'm convinced that this is Asher's favorite season because he LOVES being outside.  He can entertain himself for an hour splashing and throwing rocks and balls in our little bird pond in the backyard. We also bought him an inflatable pool which he likes to run around and splash in and of course throw rocks and balls in as well!  Here are some of the pictures we took this summer.  As you can see, Asher is wet in most of them :)

Newport Beach 2011

Back in June we took a family vacation with the Latteier side of the family to Newport Beach, CA.  My family grew up going there every summer from the time I was born so it holds a lot of fun memories.  On this trip we rented a fantastic beach house just a few houses away from the beach.  We had so much fun playing beach games, boogie boarding, and especially watching Asher and cousin Kiley on their first trip to the ocean. 

Asher, of course, LOVED the sand and spent all day, everyday, shoveling sand into the buckets, throwing balls and just running around on the beach.  He was a little wary of the ocean initally, but once his toes touched the water he didn't want to get out!  He even had a little tantrum when we tried to take him back to the house for his naps.  Cousin Kiley enjoyed wrestling Asher to the ground and eating sand, gross.  (I'll try to post the videos of these events)

Being in SoCal always requires a trip to Disneyland as well, so we spent 1 day riding rollercoasters and eating churros :)  Asher particularly loved the carousel and complained loudly when the ride was over.  He also really liked riding the Chew-Chew train in the Bug's Life Land and Dumbo. 

It was such a fun trip, we all wished we had another week to spend there!  Here are the MANY pictures of our trip.

May 2011 Pics of Asher

Not too many pics of Asher to share from the month of May but here they are.

Denmark

I don't have too many pictures of Asher from May 2011, but it was a busy month for me.  My company sent me to Copenhagen, DK for a conference and my sister Heather was able to come over with me.  We did some site-seeing whenever I didn't have to work.  We visited historical sites, went to Tivoli Gardens and rode the rides, visited the Louisiana Museum where we saw Picasso originals, visited castles and took a ferry to Sweden.  Here are some of the many pics.
